Upcoming Saturdays
Pick any week that fits your family, once or twice a year is plenty. A family or small group can take a whole Saturday together. First names show so you can see who you'll be working with.
How it works best
Take ownership, together
This isn't a weekly commitment. It's a couple of Saturdays a year, as you're able, taking care of our own building. A few families together take a week: each person grabs one job, it's done in about 45 minutes, and everyone heads to breakfast after. The work is light because it's shared, and families who barely knew each other end up friends. Don't have a team yet? Pick a week that already has one and tap Join this team. You'll be welcome.
What to expect
Arrive
Meet at 8:00 to 9:00 AM. Wear something you don't mind getting dirty. Supplies, gloves, vacuums and mops are provided.
Take a job
The week's lead has the keys and the job list. Everyone grabs one zone: trash, bathrooms, tables, floors, kitchen, sanctuary. Ten people finish in about 45 minutes.
Finish, then breakfast
Supplies back, lights off, doors locked, text the coordinator "done". Then go eat together. That part matters more than it sounds.
The job list (who does what)
1 person each
- All the trash, out to the dumpster
- Bathrooms
- Wipe down every table
- Kitchen
Vacuums
- 1 person: sanctuary
- 1 person: the carpeted rooms (3 to 4 rooms)
Sweep and mop
- 2 people: entryway and hallway
- 1 to 2 people: multipurpose room
Lead
- Unlock, hand out jobs, keep an eye on the clock
- Lights off, doors locked, alarm set
- Text the coordinator "done" with anything broken or missing
- Fewer than 8? Double up on jobs. It still gets done.
